All players are required to wear an official helmet that has been certified. Helmets should be white. Color of the face mask does not matter.
It is mandatory for all players to use a mouth guard that is attached to the helmet. Mouth guards should be worn and available anytime the player is wearing the helmet regardless if contact is taking place. Mouth guards not only protect the teeth from damage but is also one of the tools that is important in reducing concussions. We recommend that all parents always keep at least one spare mouth guard available. Players are not allowed to participate in games or practice without one.
Players that have braces or special orthodontic requirements may wear specialty mouth guards that are not attached if a note is available from your dentist or orthodontist.
All players are required to have football approved shoulder pads that fit properly. Players may not wear lacrosse or hockey shoulder pads for any reason. Players must wear shoulder pads that fit correctly. Undersized and oversized shoulder pads can create injuries. Players have been known to try and substitute smaller or improper shoulder pads while trying to meet the weight requirements.
All players are required to wear football cleats. Cleats must not have any metal in them.
Players also have many other options for pads and equipment. Please feel free to contact any sporting goods store to maintain your equipment for fit and function.
